Key Notes
1. Processing & Post-Processing Guidelines:
Protective Film: It is recommended to keep the protective film on before and during processing to prevent surface scratches.
Cutting & Drilling: Use sharp carbide tools with low feed rates and ensure adequate cooling to avoid overheating, melting, and resulting white edges or burrs.
Thermoforming: Recommended temperature: 135-155°C. Ensure uniform heating. Due to its lower thermal conductivity, heating time is longer than for acrylic.
Bonding: Recommended to use PVC-specific solvent cement (e.g., THF/cyclohexanone mixture) or UV-curing adhesive for a clear, seamless bond. Avoid using instant adhesives that can cause "crazing".
Printing: Screen printing offers good adhesion; PVC-specific inks should be used.
2. Selection & Usage Recommendations:
Outdoor Applications: Must select UV-stabilized grades; otherwise, rapid yellowing and embrittlement will occur.
Frequent Friction/Contact: Recommend selecting sheets with a Hard Coat (HC) surface treatment.
Food Safety Areas: Ensure the sheet complies with relevant food contact regulations (e.g., FDA).
High Optical Precision Requirements: Select low-haze, high-transmission grades and pay attention to stress control during processing to prevent optical distortion.
